Search Google Scholar

Use the Advanced Search in Google Scholar to get more precise results. Click on the menu on the top-right of the Google Scholar page:

Select Advanced Search. The Advanced Search options allow you to perform precise searches, including limiting by date.

In Google Scholar you can find books (and journal articles) closely related to the book you have in hand by seeing what other books have cited a particular book.

  1. Log into Google Scholar and type in the title of your book. Depending on the ambiguity of your title, you may also want to include the author's name in your search.
  2. Click on the link to "Cited by xxx" to view the works that have cited your book.

Citation Searching in Google Scholar

In Google Scholar you can see how many times a particular article has been cited, and view those citations. This is one way to find related research.

In addition, Google Scholar has an algorithm to view related articles.
