Create a Purchase Request in Alma

To create a purchase request in Alma:

1. Go to Acquisitions > Purchase Request > Create Purchase Request.

2. In most cases, you will keep the default button for "Create new record". 

Tick the button for "Use existing record" if you have already determined that we have the appropriate bibliographic record for the item in Alma. For example, do this if you were requesting a second copy of an item we already own.

3. Fill out the form with the bibliographic information. 

4. In the Request Attributes section, click in the Requestor box and look up the person for whom you are making the request. Keep the default buttons checked to notify interested users.

5. Click the SAVE button.
