Books for Special Collections and Archives do not get stamped or have Date Due slips.
Barcodes and Spine labels will go on a paper flag, not on the book.
- When receiving you can still write the date received, vendor, and cost in pencil across from the verso, after the Title page.
- There is a box of acid free paper that we will use for flags. The paper needs to be cut into 4 equal strips that are 2.25 inches wide and 8.5 inches long.
- Place the book barcode about 2 inches from the top edge of the paper.
- The books will get a book plate corresponding to the Reporting Fund or the Collection where they belong.
- The spine label goes above the barcode on the flag.
- If they belong to a Named Special Collection, they will need a stamp with that Collection Name above their call number.
