Directions for looking up books in Open Worldcat
- Search for book in Alma by barcode.
- Click on the title.
- Look for the 035 field that says (OCoLC)ocm00000000
- The number that follows "ocm" is the OCLC number.
- Search in OpenWorld by the OCLC number like this: "no:000000000"
- Change the version to "Print copy" or "Musical Score."
- Check to see if another library in Illinois is on the lsit.
- Click on the "Check this Out" link to make sure they have the same volume that we own.
- If they do, do nothing
- If no other library in Illinois has the book, add it to the Last Copy Spreadsheet.
- Place a flag in the book with the OCLC number, and place on the Black "Last Copy" cart.
