We often don’t find room in mainstream media for the representations and values our communities cherish most. That’s why it is important to be able to produce compelling media and media criticism as well. In a world of social media and citizen journalism, we are all increasingly creators, not just consumers, of media. Whether in print, video, or audio, media is powerful.
