Peter Lorenz, the Christian Democratic Union party candidate for mayor of Berlin was kidnapped three days before the election. From the article: "The kidnappers identified themselves as members of the 'June Second Movement,' referring to the day in 1967 when police shot and killed a member of a crowd of students protesting a visit to West Germany by the Shah of Iran."
