Research Graduate Schools

Program guides help to you identify programs in your area of interest, and they provide you with basic information like degrees offered, application & admission requirements, current student demographics, and more.

The online guides can be searched by keyword or browsed by subject and university, and you can also create custom searches to identify a specific subset of programs.

These guides also contain advice articles and customized tools like timelines that can assist you throughout the application process.

Personal contacts are another great way to identify graduate schools.

  • Professors - If you're looking to a career as a professor, talk to your professors about their graduate program & experiences

  • Scholars - Identify the credentials of the scholars in your particular area of interest. Where do they teach? Where did they complete their degrees?

  • Professionals - Talk to people who have the job you want. What was their career path?

  • Alumni - Work with your academic advisor or Bastian Center staff to identify alumni in your field of interest

  • Guest Speakers - Campus works to bring in guest speakers throughout the year. Identify those who interest you, attend the talk, and then stick around to ask questions.
