How the Library Works

As an academic library, we collect and make available materials that support and enrich courses of study at Knox College. Generally, the materials we collect and make available to Knox students, faculty and staff are much more scholarly than the material you find at a public library.

Of course we collect books, but did you know the library also has thousands of e-books

All the library's materials are there to support the work of students and faculty. In fact, most of our materials are requested by faculty because they are the experts in the subject areas and know what materials are best used by students.

The Library also has other types of resources: films on DVD and online streaming format, music on CDs and through online streaming services, journals, newspapers, magazines, and much more.
