Use the Knox Library Catalog to identify films, both VHS and DVD, that you can check out from Seymour Library. Films have a loan period of 3 days. For more information see the Knox College Library circulation policies.
If you know the exact title of a film and want to find out if the Library owns it, simply perform a title search in the Knox Library Catalog using the title of the film, selecting the Films/Videos Quick Limit:
If you do not know the title of a film, follow these steps to identify films available in Seymour Library on a particular subject.
1. Access the Knox Library Catalog.
2. Click on the ADVANCED SEARCH tab.
3. Click on the MORE LIMITS button in the lower right. Scroll to the middle of the page to view the "Primary Format" limits and select Films/Videos in the list:
Click the SET LIMIITS button.
4. Enter keywords in the search box(es). Use words that describe a subject, or names of composers, directors, writers, or actors. Select the appropriate index(es) for your search term(s) using the drop-down lists (next to "Search by:").
5. Click the SEARCH button to execute your search. Your search result will be a list of films matching your search terms.
Be sure to CLEAR LIMITS button to continue searching for materials other than DVDs or videos.
