What is JSTOR?

  • JSTOR is a multidisciplinary database of full-text scholarly journal articles with a strong emphasis in the Humanities and Sciences. The name JSTOR is a combination of the two words, journal and storage.
  • JSTOR concentrates on complete back issues of journals and does not have current issues.
  • We subscribe to only three JSTOR Collections (as of July 2007):
    1. Arts & Sciences I (119 journals)
    2. Arts & Sciences II (125 journals)
    3. Ecology and Botany (29 journals)
  • Google Web and Google Scholar Search results will include links to articles within JSTOR.
