It is the researcher's obligation, not that of the Knox College Library, to satisfy copyright or other use restrictions when publishing or otherwise distributing or reproducing materials found in the Knox College Library's collections. Reproduction of copyrighted or restricted items beyond that allowed by fair use requires the written permission of the copyright owners, and may also involve payment of fees.

The Knox College Library has reproduced items in its digital collections which are unencumbered by copyright or other use restrictions, unless otherwise noted in the record. But, sometimes copyright of historical archival collections may be difficult or impossible to determine. We invite copyright owners not properly identified in our digital collections to contact us.
