Edgar Lee Masters Collection
The Illinois poet Edgar Lee Masters came to Galesburg from Petersburg to attend the Knox Academy for a short time.
He then went on to read the law in Springfield. After the publication of Spoon River Anthology in his career in the
literary world was established.
At Knox College the Edgar Lee Masters Collection includes first and special editions of Masters' many works. Various manuscript collections here provide an added dimension to research for Masters' scholars.
