Scope Notes: The collection includes letters, battle reports, general orders, financial, supply and personnel records written during the war and documents and correspondence written after the war. Many documents deal with the Battle of Corinth, Mississippi, in 1862 and that same area in 1863. Also there are battle reports from engagements in Tennessee and Mississippi and various post-war documents and correspondence as well. Many of the files include transcriptions. These are records of the Confederate States of America, with the exception of a USN letter in File 25.
