Biographical Notes: Keith Achepohl (1934- ) was born in Chicago, IL and graduated from Knox College in 1956. He then went on to receive an M.F.A. in printmaking from the University of Iowa. He began as an instructor of printmaking there in 1964-1967 and has taught full time since 1978. He has received honorary doctorates from Pacific Lutheran University and Knox College (1996). Fullbright Fellowships made possible exhibitions and lectures in Egypt and Turkey. Achepohl's own works have been collected in book form and he has provided illustrations for works of others. He has lectured world wide and his prints, watercolors, and paintings are included in museums including the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C., Library of Congress, Art Institute of Chicago, Los Angeles County Museum, Bibliotheca Nacional, Madrid, Spain, Kobe Art Museum, Kobe, Japan.
Scope Notes: This collection consists of a typewritten autographed copy of Galesburg Domestic Architecture, written by Keith Achepohl during the 1956 Student in Midwest Seminar. Three sets of the same illustrations accompany the paper. Two sets have ten illustrations and one set has only nine. One set of the three is matted.
