Scope Notes: Scope Notes: This collection of photographs --- all carte de visites --- are of individuals of political, social, literary or cultural importance and come to Knox College from various sources. Members of European royalty, English poets and military figures both European and American are represented in the collection. Many of the images indicate the photographer and locality, for instance, E. Anthony, New York, L'Angerer, Vienna, Disderi, Paris.
