The Second Baptist Church
The occasion and date of this gathering of the Second Baptist Church in Galesburg, Illinois are unknown.
The church was established in 1864 as the First Colored Baptist Church and reorganized a year later as the Second Baptist
Church. In 1867, the congregation purchased the building at the corner of South and Cherry Streets where they continue to
meet to this day.
